Oil on Canvas 8″x 8″
The importance of this oil piece was to bring out the rich qualities of the colors used. I was shooting for realism in this piece, and since red is one of my favorite colors to work with, the time and detail that went into this rose was both very enjoyable and satisfying for me. This is one of my most effective pieces because of its size. A small piece can be just as powerful to look at and experience as a large installation.
